Untitled

Boat House. Sold. 8 x 10 inches, oil on panel. Another windy fall day, but I got behind a park shelter and was pleasantly out of the wind. This is the old boat house on Lake Monona, which for a long time was dark brown and leaned crazily, even after they “restored” it. This time, they really restored it, I guess. That is, they rebuilt it to preserve it because it’s an historical structure. So now it’s really a new copy of an old building. Anyway, I like the picture, and I’m guessing did research before the restoration so it looks like it did when it was built.
