Trains

TrainscarsII painting by Ken CrockerTraincars II. Sold. This was my last picture before the big snows came in December. It was a beautiful late fall/early winter day–cold, but great for painting. The sky was a pure winter blue. Even now during the January thaw, the sky looks more like spring than winter. These two “buddies” were empty scrap metal cars and during breaks I climbed up to peer inside. I had the scary thought that if I fell in, I’d have no way to get out! I could just see myself yelling for someone to come and rescue me, and imagine how stupid I would feel.
