Untitled

I haven’t put up any new paintings for awhile because in addition to a show in October, I started a class in portrait painting at the Palette and Chisel Academy in Chicago with Marci Oleszkiewicz. The class is great, as is a day once a week in the big city. The Palette and Chisel is an artist-run school that’s been around since the 1900s and besides classes and workshops, offers open painting studios. So I usually go to class from 9 to 12, then stay around to try out what I’ve learned in the afternoon from 1 to 4, and then, if I’m really ambitious, I can draw from the model from 6:30 to 8:30 and catch the last Metra train at 9:30 to Harvard, IL, where I pick up my car and drive home.
